(Optional) Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA)
You can set up PBA here for the protection of your computer at the BIOS level.
Operating Procedures:
1. | Open System Settings and switch to the Computer Protection Management page. Switch to the PBA tab.
2. | To enable PBA, check the Enable PBA (Pre-Boot Authentication) checkbox. The checkboxes above the enrolled fingers will be enabled.
3. | If you have not setup the BIOS Supervisor Password and User Password, you will be prompted to set it up. Enter the desired password and click Next.
4. | Select your enrolled fingers to use for PBA by checking the checkboxes above the fingers.
5. | Click OK or Apply to save your settings.
Note: Each user can only assign up to two fingers for PBA.
6. | To delete your PBA fingers, simply uncheck the checkbox.
Note: You will not be able to uncheck your last PBA finger if you have the PBA option enabled. Deleting PBA fingerprints does NOT mean that the enrolled fingerprint will be deleted.
7. | Click the Delete button to delete the PBA fingerprints for ALL USERS on the computer, and the PBA function will automatically be disabled. You will be prompted to enter the BIOS Supervisor Password.
8. | Check the Log on to Windows automatically after passing PBA checkbox if you wish to allow the system to automatically login to Windows with the same fingerprint after passing PBA during computer boot.
