(Optional) Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA)

This function provides an extra layer of protection to your computer. Only users with enrolled fingerprints can boot up the computer.

 

Note:

If you have not set up PBA yet, please do so by following the instructions in the Managing Acer Bio Protection – Computer Protection Management section of this document.

 

Operating Procedures:

1. Turn the computer on. The BIOS will boot to the PBA screen.
2. Swipe your PBA fingerprint. The computer will continue booting the operating system.
3. If you have enabled the Log on to Windows automatically after passing PBA option in Computer Protection Management, Windows will log in automatically when it boots up.
